Nashville, Tennessee, September 20, 2008 – Willie Allen from Bon Aqua, Tn. set a track record that had stood for 5 years, then cruised to victory in the NASCAR All American Late Model Series feature at the Music City Motorplex this Saturday night. Allen, who is contemplating a move to North Carolina in an effort to further his racing career, quickly had his engine, carburetor, and shocks claimed by Mark Day who currently is second in the point standings. Andy Johnson from Mount Juliet, Tn. finished 5th and takes a commanding lead into the final points event of the season next week. Johnson wrapped up the NASCAR Late Model Championship the last event, and only needs to start the final event of the season to claim the Track Championship as well. Chevy White from Columbia, TN finished 2nd, followed by Sterling Marlin, Andy Johnson, and Mark Day.

Jeffrey Belt set a new track record in the Grand National Division and held off a hard charging Wayne White to claim victory. Lee Goddard, Nashville, TN finished 3rd and all but claimed the Championship as Eddie Taylor from Hermitage, TN had engine troubles and retired early in the event. Howard Tucker finished 4th, and Mark Brawley completed the top 5.

On a night that was presented by WSIX 98 radio, the WSIX 98, Big Machine Records sponsored Super Truck driven by Bobby Buttrey, Fairview, TN. fought tooth and nail with current points leader Daniel Victory from Smyrna, Tn. in the 30 lap event. Buttrey, who has wrapped up the rookie of the year honors, is only 48 points out of the lead going into the final event of the  season. Terry Hayes from Hermitage, TN finished third, Kyle Fletcher finished 4th, and Daniel Bolden from Cane Ridge, TN finished 5th and stretched his third place lead in points over Jess Williams who got caught up in an early race accident and could not mount a charge after the scrape with Tommy Climer from Murfreesboro, Tn.

The ever popular Thunderstox put on another great show as Leslie Pierce was able to win for the first time this season in the 20 lap event. Pierce was followed by Charlie Goddard, Matt Barnes, Kyle Ivey, and Joshua Hood rounded out the top 5. Jeremy Newman finished 6th and moved into the points lead over Dale Travis who finished 8th.

The Legends Pro/Master division was won by Tyler Slayden, followed Kevin Rollins, Tyler Cordell, Rob Sanders, while Josh Berry completed the top 5. Layne Clifton won the Bandits Division while Laura Gentry won the Young Guns Division.

Racing at the Music City Motorplex will present it’s Night of Champions September 27 that will conclude the final points races of the 2008 season.

Grandstand gates open at 4:00 p.m. and qualifying at 4:30 p.m. The green flag will drop on the first race at 6:30 p.m.
