Nashville, Tennessee, September 20, 2008 – Willie Allen from Bon Aqua, Tn. set a track record that had stood for 5 years, then cruised to victory in the NASCAR All American Late Model Series feature at the Music City Motorplex this Saturday night. Allen, who is contemplating a move to North Carolina in an effort to further his racing career, quickly had his engine, carburetor, and shocks claimed by Mark Day who currently is second in the point standings. Andy Johnson from Mount Juliet, Tn. finished 5th and takes a commanding lead into the final points event of the season next week. Johnson wrapped up the NASCAR Late Model Championship the last event, and only needs to start the final event of the season to claim the Track Championship as well. Chevy White from Columbia, TN finished 2nd, followed by Sterling Marlin, Andy Johnson, and Mark Day.

Nashville, Tennessee – Andy Johnson from Mount Juliet, Tn. went into the last NASCAR points event with what proved to be an unsurmountable 88 point lead over rookie Dillon Oliver from Bowling Green, Ky. Oliver in a tight battle with former Champion Mark Day from Clarksville, TN had a tough night and fell to 3rd in the points, still quite an accomplishment for the rookie. Another rookie, Michael House from Murfreesboro was fast time for the night and was presented with a $75 gift certificate from Full Throttle racing parts. Chevy WhiteX, from Columbia led the last 75 laps to claim the victory in the 125 Lap feature event sponsored by radio 98 WSIX. Andy Johnson from Mount Juliet was second, good enough to claim the Championship, followed by Michael House in third, Mark Day, from Clarksville, Tn was fourth good enough for second in the final standings, and Daniel Pope rounded out the top 5. The Music City Motorplex track points sea son will continue through September 27, 2008 with the “Night of Champions.

Nashville, Tennessee, August 8, 2008 – Chevy White is a man of his word. After a tough night the week before when the engine blew while running in the top 5, White PROMISED his car owner is he put the car back together, he would win the next race, and that is exactly what he did Friday night at the Motorplex. On Dollar Night/Double Points night presented by Coors Light, White, from Columbia, set the fast time and led all but the first lap as he cruised to victory over Dillion Oliver of Bowling Green, Andy Johnson of MT Juliet, and Mark Day from Clarksville. On a night that featured Sterling Marlin back in action, Marlin had engine troubles and was forced to call it quits after only 12 laps. |
