Many have inquired about the rumored karts on asphalt race on the Huntsville Speedway quarter mile, and now it appears that the rumors were true. The track has scheduled a kart race for December 6, 2008, calling it "The Iceberg".

Tempers flared in the Super Stock feature Friday night at Huntsville Speedway. Clayton Hopkins jumped out to an early lead. Hopkins' luck didn't hold for long. He brought out the first caution of the race when he got hung on the rub rails of the Roy Thompson car which he was lapping. Hopkins then entered the pit area to change a cut tire.

It was a foggy Friday night on Hobb's Island as the Legends cars took to the track for the first feature race of the evening. Josh Berry was glued to Tyler Cordell's bumper for the first fifteen laps before the two got together heading into turn one. Cordell was forced to pit for repairs and Berry had to go to the rear, but he didn't hang around back there for very long. |

Lick Skillet, Alabama's Johnny Brazier has been looking for victory lane all season at Huntsville Speedway. He's been there many times before, but it has eluded him this year in Modified competition. Things finally went his way Friday night as he charged to the fifty lap Modified feature win. |

Larry Crowe started and finished at the front in the Sportsman feature Friday night at Huntsville Speedway. Wayne Jones was on the move in the early going, moving up to third spot by lap eight. After a caution for the spinning car of Greg Kruse, Jones took the option to try the outside for the restart. Jones worked the outside line until he and Crowe got together on lap twelve. Both drivers maintained control but Jones suffered a cut tire which ended his night. |
